Monarch Rabbitry was formally known as Patches Rabbit Stud Dubbo. The recent name change was in honour of my late friend Julie Neave. Julie Neave ran Seabreeze Bunnies breeding mainly Mini Lops. She was like another Mother to me and I miss her dearly. Julie told her mother that when she passed she would come back as an Orange & Black Butterfly and let her know she was ok. Her mother said on the morning of her passing, a big Orange and Black Butterfly flew past her & Julie's daughter and she took that as a sign that Julie was ok. I'd like to believe it was her and every time I see a butterfly now I automatically think of her and smile. I have some of Julie's Mini Lop lineage and will continue to keep them going focusing on the Butterfly Pattern. So after so long of being Patches, I felt I needed a change and hence Monarch was born. 

I breed Netherland Dwarfs, English Angoras, Jersey Woolies, Mini Lops, Satin Rexes and Rexes. 

Whilst I may have a fair few breeds, do not mistake that to assume that my rabbits are not cared for. I spend ALOT of my time cleaning and maintaining all my babies. It is a full time job but it's a full time job I enjoy. And no, for those thinking that rabbits provide an income, they don't. I breed for me, and to keep improving the breed. I focus on the overall health and temperament of my Rabbits and enjoy both exhibiting and Judging.

Since the launch of Monarch, I have started packaging and selling Rabbit Mix, Treats, Oaten Chaff & Woodshavings and offer free delivery to Dubbo, Wongarbon, Geurie & Wellington.
